Deep Feet Bar Therapy coming soon!!

New treatment coming!

This weekend, December 10th I have completed my new training for ashiatsu. Starting in January I will be offering it as a new modality in my practice. To those that are interested, I will be adding information as the time approaches. It's an awesome modality I'm very pleased and excited to add it to my list of things that I will be doing for people.

Healing!

I have noticed that it really seems to take a LONG time to come back from any sort of surgery or illness....Please be easy on yourself when recovering.  I am sure you've all heard: "It's not going to happen overnight." but it's true, and whatever progress you make, however long it takes to make it, and even if you feel like you're going 3 steps forward and 1 back, it's where you're at, and that's okay. Just keep trying to get better.  It WILL come!

Water water everywhere

I've noticed that now that it's rainy, people are wanting to slack off on the water intake.  Don't.  Water is very necessary no matter WHAT time of year it is.  Please continue to drink.  Especially before and after massage.  If you don't, and the work was especially vigorous, or you've not had massage in a while, chances are you'll feel icky the next day.  It's not the flu, it's not enough water.  Drink up!

Stretching

So, it's summer, (yay) and with the weather being nice, more of us are able to get outside and exercise.  We've already talked about drinking enough water, but it occurs to me that one big thing I see people for increases in nice weather, and that is strained muscles.  Remember to stretch if you're going to do something prolonged or strenuous.  Just because it's nice out doesn't mean it's hot enough to warm up muscles unused to spreading bark or chopping wood.

Summer is here!
